I heard from my good friend, Romeo, on the new fighting between the Capulets and Montagues. He hast told me that it began from the servants of both households insulting one another and as the fighting heated, Prince Escalus intervened thy fight, declaring, "if ever you disturb our streets again, your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace!" I believe Escalus has made the right choice on all accounts. There hast been enough fighting in our streets. Now i must see Romeo on more important matters...

Greetings, Mercutio. Many others share your opinion that there has enough fighting in Verona. I also hope all this chaos will cease in a matter of time.

Good morrow, Mercutio! Do thy truely believe another life shall be forfeited to cease this fray? Another life should added to the bundles already in the fire? Tell me thy great Mercutio, why do thee side with Prince Escalus? If there shall be another fray, thy would be willing to see Romeo's parents beheaded? The mask on thy face should be covered in shame!

Good morrow, brother! I agree with thy opinion. The fighting must cease, marry! I hath enough of the fighting between the Montagues and Capulets! I have a feeling, though, that they doth not care much.

My dear kinsman, right are thee to assume my creed was necessary. Thou and I are both not of the two houses; therefore we must tread the thin line between Montague and Capulet. Prithee, continue to step carefully, lest thou be dragged into the fighting. Mercutio, gentle coz, I know of thy temper when angered; therefore, keep your head and perchance let Romeo and his gentle words guid thee.

I am gratified by your support of my creed. Peace is the primary goal here. Peace doesn't kill people. Peace also keeps me from needing to stride about proclaiming death sentences on those who displease me.

Oh I believe that the prince has made a right choice too. Even if it risks some of my family dying, if we can get peace in this town then it I believe it is worth it. Also, if we continue fighting, Romeo might get hurt!. Oh my poor Romeo. If my dad finds out of my relationship with him oh how furious he would be.

I agree with the Prince's decision as well. Seems like Mercutio and Benvolio think alike.

and I hope that all this feuding
will come to an end soon, so
that there may be peace.

I also believe that Prince made the right choice. Even though I doubt that the creed will stop the fight, they will at least be aware of the consequences.

I too agree with the Prince’s creed. This battle between the house of Capulet and that of the Montague has been faring for quite too long. And it clearly it seems that the longer it exists, the more people that it draws in. I am quite saddened to see that the SERVANTS of each house were the starters of this fray, and I hope that the Prince’s creed will cause everyone to think twice before every action.

Mercutio,
As you are not a Montague, I have nothing against you. But I feel the Prince's Creed is unfair. It was not my fault at all! :P

Dearest friend, I do agree that the prince hath made the right choice, for he can only do so much to heal the bad blood between the Mongtegues and Capulets.

How can you agree with Pricne Escalus on such a preposterous creed? You must put yourself into the person's shoes Mercutio. What if you were the one to be put to death for starting a brawl in the streets of Verona?

Mercutio i feel exactly the same was as you. The creed is necassary so our family will end the violence that has been rising. And what is it you want to see me about?

Yess, very true indeed, Mercutio. There has been numerous frays that have been definately unnecessary and solely childish, if I may say so. However, if there is another quarrel, I, personally, do not believe that the next who holdith the fuss should loss their life. Holding no disrespect for thy prince, I consider Prince Escalus's creed as too strong a punishment. But I am not speaking that thou who commit the deed does not recieve his consequence, for he should, just not as strong as the Prince ruled it be.

Unfortunately, I have been killed by the foul Tybalt. But even now, the law isn't on our side.
