*GHOST* 'Tis such a sad day to live. However, I hath been killed by that devil, Tybalt. The sneak struck me under Romeo's arm with thy sword in one single stab into my bosom. In the midst of my death Romeo fought against Tybalt, delivering the final blow, killing him, but how sad is it to have killed a dear cousin of the Capulet, Juliet, especially on the day of their wonderful marriage. Now the Prince has been brought into this and since dear Romeo was the last man alive from this bloodshed, the Prince has brought the wraith onto poor Romeo, banishing him from Verona. The Prince has been true to his word, but has been somewhat lenient. Perhaps the Prince's ruling was fair in his own eyes, but to Romeo it is something much worse than death itself for this means that thou wilt not be able to seen fair Juliet ever again. I do not have much say in this for I am just a soul wandering the lonely world looking upon my dear friends.

I agree with you ghostly Mercutio. Romeo should not have been banished. My cousin Tybalt was too hot headed and should have been executed anyway!

Oh dear Mercutio! I did what I thought was right. I tried to stop this bloodshed from happening where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. If Tybalt were alive, he would have been executed for killing you because you are kinsman to Prince Escalus. Although caught up in the anger and rage I felt for Tybalt killing you, I reacted. Which is why I am now banished from my dear city of Verona. This is a sad, sad day. May your soul rest in peace my good friend.

OH why must Tybalt die? If only Mercutio did not provoke him none of this might have happened. Mercutio, if you are somewhere in heaven or...down there, then fix this mess up that you made right now! Because of you I cannot see my Romeo :O.

O, my dear coz Mercutio! How I regret thy death, for though thou died at the hands of dead Tybalt, I too hath a part in it for failing to keep peace in my beloved Verona. I am greatly saddened by my loss of thee, and am consumed by rage for those who caused thy death. Thou hath been a loyal subject, a colorful friend and kinsman, and a great comfort to me in times of unhappiness. Bear in mind, dear Mercutio, that 'twas not because he was the last man standing that I banished young Romeo. 'Twas because he inteferred in the justice that Tybalt deserved - death not at Romeo's hands but at the hands of the law. My dear coz, may God allow thy soul to rest in peace.

Yes, it's really tough to say if Romeo should be banished or not. Romeo and Juliet had just married, and I don't think that it would be such a good decision on the prince's part to kill Romeo because he didn't start the brawl and the creed stated anyone who starts one will be hanged. But the purpose of the creed was to stop the fighting, so I think it's fair.

The fight was not yours Mercutio you did not have to die but thy will has caused this doom upon thyself as for Romeo he should be killed for an example must be made to substain the law and refrain anybody else from breaking it thinking that they shall be spaired too.

I am sorry that Tybalt has slain you, but Romeo has also killed Tybalt for the sake of you. The mercy the Prince has shown to Romeo was due to you being friends with Romeo. Thank goodness to you.

It is all your fault Mercutio. Why did you have to arouse thy cousin Tybalt into killing you. Now because of your recklessness I can't see Romeo. He went to avenge you and he killed Tybalt. Wherever you are heaven......or down there fix this mess that you created and bring Romeo back to me.

Mercutio!
How I miss your cheery laugh! If only Romeo had waited for the prince to lay judgement on Tybalt, he would still be here with his wife! However, he DID kill Tybalt, therefore should be punished. I'm sorry you got mixed up in this mess. The people of Verona will miss you dearly.

Unfortunately, I have been killed by the foul Tybalt. But even now, the law isn't on our side.
